At a glance

Gotta Pee! helps people find toilets in Poland and around the world. Our database snapshot from 20 October 2026 contained 496,888 locations, nearly half a million records. This describes the size of the database on that date, not the number of verified, free or currently open toilets. Coverage and information differ between areas.

What does nearly half a million locations mean?

The figure of 496,888 counts location records in Gotta Pee!'s database as recorded on 20 October 2026. Some have photos, hours and reviews; others have limited information and need confirmation. The total changes as records are added, updated and cleaned up.

A large database can help you discover options in a new place. It does not mean that every toilet has been inspected recently, that every neighbourhood has complete coverage or that each listed place is open to everyone at any time. Read the details for the specific toilet you intend to use.

Does Gotta Pee! work outside Poland?

Yes. The search uses your phone's location and is not restricted to Poland. Once the app establishes your position, it can show nearby matching records abroad as well as at home. The same map can be useful on a daily walk, a business trip or a holiday.

Global coverage does not mean equal coverage everywhere. One area may have many detailed entries while another has few or outdated records. Check the actual distance: the nearest matching record in the database may still be far away.

Gotta Pee! is available in English on iPhone and Android. Our step-by-step guide explains how to find, add and review a toilet.

One map, different practical needs

The nearest restroom is not always the one that meets your needs. You might be looking for a baby changing table, water to wash your hands, a free toilet or a place with suitable access. Filters let you search for the facilities recorded for each location. Parking and showers are also among the available options.

Selecting several filters can leave fewer, more distant results because a place must meet every selected condition. Missing information about a facility is not proof that the facility is absent. If a particular feature is essential, confirm it with the venue rather than relying on a general label.

For more detailed planning, see our guides to accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.

From a map pin to the entrance

Open a place to review the available description, cleanliness rating, facilities and information about whether it exists. The Navigate button opens in-app map and compass guidance. For a walking route in a separate maps app, use Open in Maps.

A direction arrow and a straight-line distance cannot account for every bridge, locked gate or entrance on another street. Confirm that the route is usable and that you can enter the venue. Plan for an internet connection; do not assume that every map and record will remain available offline.

Why a single review helps

A map becomes more useful when the record matches what visitors find. After using a toilet, you can confirm that it exists, rate cleanliness, update facilities and hours or report a location that has disappeared. A practical comment such as Ask reception for the key can make the final few metres easier.

Browsing the map does not require an account. Adding places, photos and reviews requires signing in. Contribute what you have checked directly and leave unknown details unknown. A small accurate update is more useful than a complete-looking record based on guesses.

Start with the place you are visiting next

Download Gotta Pee! for iPhone or Android, allow location access and compare nearby toilets. Choose the filters that matter to you, then review access and opening information before setting off. The app can support your planning, but cannot guarantee access to a particular venue.
